What happens when you smoke? [Disadvantages]


One of the unfamiliar disadvantages you get when you smoke is Depression..!  Might be shocking.

Generally humans do not meet their daily need of intake of water. (root cause for digestive troubles or ulcers)
As you already know, while you smoke, you will get acid secreted in your digestive track. (you might get few small burps while smoking or within few minutes, due to acidity)

when both the above combines, you get acid in you digestive system without food or water, which leads to damaging of your digestive track internal walls. (better take a liquid while smoking, like tea or coffee or water)

Due to above wall damage, your nutrition absorption declines, leading to unhealthy level of nutrients, which leads to mental and physical tiredness. Actually the first to inform you about lack of nutrition is your brain. You will start getting a slight but different awkward kind of head aches in severe cases.

If the above continues for a period of time, for sure you will get the 'so called chemical imbalance'.

Symptoms:

   You cannot think or focus as you were before.
   Your productivity declines, you might feel postpone of tasks.
   You cannot easily smile or laugh naturally.

What happens when you smoke? [Advantages]

Every smoker knows, smoking makes you feel better. How?

When you smoke, the smoke reaches lungs and nicotine gets mixed with blood.

Now nicotine reaches each and every cell in your body.(Now you feel better)

Hope you know about anti-oxidant, which reduces or neutralize free radicals(dirt in your blood stream) like the dirt in an automobile engine oil.

For automobile, the dirt is removed by changing engine oil.

For living things, anti-oxidants capture all the free radicals and send it out through your excretory system.

Your immune system gets better by anti-oxidants.

The same way alcohol(very good anti-oxidant) is doing good job, reducing your free radicals from your blood stream. Here the amount of alcohol differentiates the purpose, helping or contaminating.
One or two ounces daily is good. But no one stops with one or two. That is why doctors don't recommend alcohol (very good source of anti-oxidant) in their prescription.

Anti-oxidants are naturally available in many sources, like Fruits, vegetables, tea, almost all herbs. Brahmi is one of the best anti-oxidant source. (No side effects)

Control Smoking

The best way to control smoking are (we are not going to discuss about quiting smoking)

First preference goes to Postponement.
 when you feel taking a cigarette stick, just postpone another 5 mins.
 This way you will habituate your body cells to live with less amount of nicotine.

Avoid thinking of the past. (mistakes or wrong decision. Everybody makes mistakes or wrong decision)

Start playing games. (whether it is an outdoor game or computer games)

Particularly Males need to have adrenaline pumping activities or games. Males are created in such a way to fulfill task or achievements. (Of course females too.)

In the worst case.. switch to 1mg category of cigarettes and then try to keep maintain it. Initially I felt horrible... the sooner I get habituated with that... now reduced the numbers and soon.. on the way to quit.
